Just back from Clipper Level 2 training. Had a great week meeting yet more lovely crew who share the same ambition and challenges. We started the week with a day sea survival course learning about abandoning the yacht and surviving in a life raft. Once we got aboard CV8 we started with the night watch system.
The next 2 days were tough as five of us suffered with sea sickness, there was a hole in the sail to repair and we were really put through our paces, trying to remember everything from Level one. Once we got through the sea sickness there was much work and fun had aboard as we repeatedly went through all the techniques – practice, practice, practice.
An exhausting week but certainly another intense amazing experience which makes us all even more excited to be part of this race.
